After bearing a night of strong wind, the door, which was not strong enough, had become even more shaky.

As long as it was knocked twice, the door creaked and opened by itself.

Jiang Lao didn’t expect that as soon as the door opened she would see such a scene— the teenager crawling on the ground.

The young man was weakly kneeling on his knees, and under his knees was a quilt that was negligibly thin.

With long black hair draped behind him, his back arched slightly, and the image of his back was like a trapped beast with its fangs removed and bones crushed.

The young man’s action looked like he wanted to support the ground with his elbows so that he could use force to support himself to stand up.

But even though his arm muscles were tightened, it seemed that he had already exhausted all his strength in several futile trials to stand up.

His two legs seemed to have become a heavy stone, that he couldn’t move at all.

The young man’s red eyes were filled with defeat and depression.

Seeing his state, Jiang Lao silently walked over, trying to hold him.

But looking at his cold gaze, she become scared and her movements immediately stopped.

Rong Ming heard her coming in.

He looked at her sideways and coughed uncontrollably, “What are you doing here?”

Jiang Lao showed him the medicine packet she had brought, “I went to the hospital and got some medicine for you.”

Hearing this, Rong Ming was silent.

His temperament had long been worn out by the cannibalistic palace and had become distorted and suspicious.

Everyone he had seen since his birth had only laughed and cursed at him, and none of them were really good to him.

The sharp knife hidden in the hypocritical smile, he had seen a lot, and any over-warming gesture for him was not much different from the bullying and neglect.

Even if she wanted to make up for him because of guilt, she had already done enough.

No one really treated him so nicely.

Rong Ming coldly looked at the concern on her face, as if he was looking at the poison wrapped in honey.

But before he could say the words to see off the guests, he fainted because of the pain and fever.

When he woke up again, a pair of warm hands were gently applying a wet handkerchief to his forehead.

The thin and hard quilt on his body seemed to have been replaced with a warm and thick quilt.

Before he could speak, a pleasant and soft question came from his side, “Are you awake?”

Holding a wet handkerchief in her hand, Jiang Lao crouched on the edge of the bed and was looking at him in surprise.

After the young man fainted, his forehead was sweating, and his brows were frowning, not knowing it was because of pain or having some nightmare.

Jiang Lao was afraid of frightening him, so she softly said, “You suddenly fainted just now and frightened me. I called the old doctor of the medical clinic to come and see you.”

“He said that the wound on your leg was serious again. For the cold, he prescribed a few more medicines. When you fell asleep, the old doctor boiled the medicine himself and let me feed you.”

Hearing this, Rong Ming pressed his lips, his mouth reverberated with the bitterness of herbal medicine.

Even the body had a faint taste of sweetness and bitterness.

Only then did he see a trace of herbal medicine on the front of his shirt.

Jiang Lao also noticed it. Her gaze swept across the front of his shirt, and then quickly swept away.

Her long eyelashes were hanging down, as she said, “But I can only feed you half a bowl.”

An uncomfortable red blush appear on her cheek, and she weakly explained, “I can only feed you half a bowl, and the rest was spilled, and spilled on… you.”

Rong Ming raised his eyes, directly looked at her, and asked in a hoarse voice, “Did you give me the medicine?”

“Umm.”

Initially, Jiang Lao wanted the maid to come and feed him, but she didn’t know why, when the maid approached him, he unconsciously tried to choke the maid by holding her neck…

And she couldn’t call the doctor for this.

Even after fainting, he was so violent and repellent.

Jiang Lao made a correction to the young man’s character in her heart— This person was not just suspicious, but very suspicious, the kind that had suspiciousness deep into his bones.

But when she approached him, he was unusually quiet, so Jiang Lao came to feed him by herself.
