He Guan, “I have found the pillow lying at the door. I dusted it and put it on the bed. The electrician is going to come anytime soon.”

He Guan’s mobile phone suddenly rang and he answered, “Hello… Hello.”

He Guan slightly tilted his head to talk on the phone, “Is the electrician here, to check the distribution box? The distribution box is near the sixth door. Oh yes, go straight to the sixth door first.”

Lou Dong Zang could hear the electrician’s sigh, “Your home is really big.

He Guan didn’t have time to talk with Lou Dong Zang, so he put the gauze and iodine solution bowl directly into Lou Ding Zang’s hands and quickly got up to leave.

Before leaving, he rambled, “I’ll go down right away. The house is quite “messy” for now.”

“I just moved in and haven’t found anyone to clean. Be careful while walking, don’t slip. Well, if you need something just push the door open and call me…”

He Guan’s palms were warm, he was young, and his temperature was higher than normal.

On the other hand, Lou Dong Zang’s palm was quite cold, and when He Guan suddenly touched him, he felt as if he had been scalded.

But in retrospect, the temperature was quite soothing.

When He Guan left, he thoughtfully closed the door for Lou Dong Zang.

Lou Dong Zang grabbed the gauze and iodine solution and put his left index finger, which had dried up blood and half of his nails been cut off, into the saltwater solution.

After he soaked his fingers for a while, the dried blood melted away, and Lou Dong Zang suddenly threw the bowl away.

The bowl fell on the carpet, but it was not broken, but the water splashed all over the place.

It didn’t hurt at all.

The salt solution in the water was very weak, and it was almost as good as washing the wound with plain water.

He… Always playing the misguided good samaritan.

After setting up the electricity connection, He Guan got the contact details for water, heating, and natural gas services from the electrician and reached out to them.

The heating and natural gas will be available from tonight.

But they have to wait for a day for the water connection.

Thinking he was done with today’s work, He Guan returned to his room but suddenly remembered that he hadn’t given the medical tape to Lou Dong Zang.

So, he went back to fetch it.

He Guan climbed to the second floor, ready to repeat his earlier pattern, when he noticed Lou Dong Zang sitting in the middle of the hallway.

The rolled-up bedsheet was, astonishingly, his cushion used for sitting.

He Guan, “…”

Seeing him like this, He Guan asked with a hint of amusement, “Contemplating life?”

With eyes closed and a pale face, Lou Dong Zang replied, “Headache.”

He Guan, “Read too much?”

Lou Dong Zang, “Mm-hm.”

He Guan gently said, “I’ll be on my way then.”

Lou Dong Zang, “If you’re here to take care of me, then don’t overstep. It’s unnecessary.”

After being blind, he had grown weary of people constantly coming and going.

He Guan, wearing sneakers, walked unsteadily after walking all day- his legs seemed to tremble.

The house was too big, and he’s been doing heavy lifting all day, leading to some muscle pain in his legs.

As Lou Dong Zang said this, He Guan was already squatting in front of him, reaching for his wrist.

Lou Dong Zang instinctively pulled his wrist away.

He Guan leaned in even closer and said, “Unnecessary? Then why are you gripping the bandage and iodine solution so tightly? Hand them to me, will you?”

Hearing this, Lou Dong Zang released his tight grip.

In front of him, He Guan cut a small strip of gauze, and without warning, wrapped it swiftly around Lou Dong Zang’s injured finger.

He then used the medical tape he brought to secure the gauze in place and finally tore off the end with his mouth.

The entire process took less than fifteen seconds and was seamlessly executed.

Lou Dong Zang, “…”

Looking pleased with his work, He Guan said, “Isn’t it better now? If you don’t care about your finger, I do. What has it ever done to you to deserve being injured and not treated??”

Hearing this, Lou Dong Zang murmured, “Even if you cut it off, I won’t care about it.”

As if not catching the severity of the remark, He Guan playfully countered, “What nonsense! To cut it off, I would have to fetch a knife. My legs hurt, so no.”
